Been a long time...

Hello,

I know it's been several months since I have posted on my blog. I due apologize! I did not realize that many people read it until several friends asked why hadn't I posted in a while. Thank you for your support!!!

A lot of went on since my last post. I traveled to Florida with my boyfriend and I just returned from Atlanta where I attended the Bronner Bros Hair Show with my girlfriends where I met the beautiful & talented Antonia "Toya" Wright and her new husband Mickey "Memphitz" Wright. This has become an annual trip for us and we thoroughly enjoy it!

I have also began yet another business venture. I am making jewelry, particularly earrings. They are inspired from the POParazzi collection that are sported by many celebs and the infamous Basketball Wives. My earrings are not called POParazzi earrings and I am not associated with them in any way. All supplies were purchased by me with my own money. This is just something I decided to do on my own. I know there are several other people that have the same idea as me, and I am not trying to knock anyone's hustle. However, if you are interested in purchasing some, please feel free to contact me (brittney_lthornton@yahoo.com). A few designs are posted below along with pictures from my ATL trip. As I add new styles and designs to my collection, I will be sure to post picutres. Again, thank you for you continued support!! I love you all :)

5 Things Every Woman Must Have in Her Jewelry Box

So yesterday I posted what you should have in your closet, now take those items and pair it with these must have jewelry pieces and you should be set!!! Again these are only the opinions of me and no one else.

1. Pearls (necklace/earring): To me pearls are a definite must have in every woman's jewelry box. Pearls can be worn with jeans and a white tee or your little black dress. You will find that pearls can make any outfit classy.

2. Gold/Silver Hoops: I love my hoops! They are great to throw on when you don't want to be too dressed up but want to wear jewelry. You can't go wrong with hoops.

3. Small pendant necklace/Statement necklace: Sometimes I don't feel the need to wear a long or big necklace with my outfit. So I throw on a small pendant necklace just so my neck won't be bear. My necklace of choice is a small rhinestone bow. It's simple, but gives the touch that I need. Then, there is the other side of the spectrum where you have a low cut dress/shirt and need something big. That is where your statement necklace comes into play. It is a necklace that makes a "statement" all by itself. No other jewelry is needed to compliment it.

4. Big ring: Nothing completes an outfit like a "big ring". Whether it's a knuckle ring or a 3-4 finger ring, you are sure to turn heads.

5. Watch: Not many women wear a watch, and I didn't either until recently. But you never know when you'll need to know the time. Now you won't catch me without one. The watch of choice these days are the "Sandra Bullock" watches. They received their name because they were the watches that she wore in the movie "Blindside". Her watch was white, but you can find it in an array of colors. So grab one (or two or three) and complete your outfit.

5 Things Every Woman Must Have in Her Closet (My Opinion)

Hello everyone!!

I have a list of blogs that I wanted to do, so while I have some time I decided to get started. The first on my list is "5 things every woman must have in their closets". This blog is based strictly on my opinion and not the opinion of anyone else.

1. Black/Nude Pumps: Black pumps (as well as nude) can be worn with many colors and many styles. You can throw on a pair of jeans, a cute top, and black pumps for a night out with your girlfriends or a skirt, blouse, and black pumps for a dinner with the boss. Nude is also a color that has become popular in the past couple of months and goes well with your neutral colors such as browns, tans, and pinks.

2. Dark wash jeans: I LOVE my dark wash jeans, whether skinny or boot cut. These jeans are the easiest to dress up and down. With a blazer and pumps, dark wash jeans are great for a dressy, but not formal look. With a cute tee and sandals, you are ready for a casual day out.

3. Black blazer: Blazers used to only be for men, but now you are more likely to see a woman sporting a jacket than a man. Blazers are also a dress up/dress down piece. Paired with leggings and heels, it becomes a dress up piece to a simple outfit but throw it on with a party dress and it helps tone down that "way too dressy dress" so you fit right in.

4. Little Black Dress: Of course, you knew the "little black dress" was going to be included in this list. With a black dress you can go from dinner straight to the after party. Black is a color that fits into any occasion so with pearls and a nice clutch you are ready for a formal dinner date but throw your statement necklace and you're ready to party.

5. White button down shirt: A white button down is a piece that many women don't have, but really need. A white button down can be paired with slacks or a skirt and take you straight to the office. But throw on your jeans and flats and you're in style for just about anything.

These items are just a few that can make up a woman's wardrobe. Just typing this, I thought of many more. But with these pieces you are sure to be equipped for any occasion that may be thrown at you. Again, these are just my opinions. Thanks again for supporting my blog!!!
